Introducing Image to Genesis 8/9 Pose Generator AI v2

This article compares our previous model, Daz Pose Gen 1.1, with Daz Pose Gen 2.0. After releasing version 1.2 of the program, we spent approximately one month collecting user feedback and using it to improve the software. The Daz Pose Gen 2.0 model is much smarter and more powerful than the previous model.

The new model includes multiple specialized experts for different parts of the body. Unlike the previous model, instead of treating the body as a single whole, it analyzes each part individually. One expert focuses only on the fingers, while another focuses only on the torso or legs. The combination of all these specialized experts allows the system to generate a Genesis pose that is much closer to the target image.

The biggest improvement: body rotation

The biggest issue with the previous model was that it often estimated the body rotation of the person in the uploaded image very inaccurately. In almost every pose, you had to manually correct the body rotation yourself. However, this is exactly where the new model is at its strongest. It can now predict body rotation with remarkable accuracy. Say goodbye to your character flipping over, spinning in completely wrong directions, or ending up in positions that have nothing to do with the target image after applying the pose.

Daz Pose Gen 2.0 can make much more accurate predictions thanks to the specialized experts built into the model. The difference between the two models becomes even more noticeable in challenging poses. Body rotation accuracy, which was around 10–15% in the 1.1 model, has now reached approximately 90% with version 2.0.

The improvements go beyond body rotation

Body rotation accuracy is not the only thing Daz Pose Gen 2.0 does well. We have also significantly improved the overall pose accuracy. With the specialized experts built into the model, it can now predict the poses in your uploaded images with much higher accuracy.

The new model performs much better, especially in areas such as the hands, arms, and legs. As a result, you will be able to reach your desired pose with far fewer manual adjustments.

Bug fixes in the program

In addition to improving the model, we have also made various changes and bug fixes to the program itself in the new version. These fixes will become active with the v2 release.

Issue Status
“Play” button not working properly in certain Daz Studio versions Fixed
Windows 10 compatibility issues Fixed
Compatibility issues with certain graphics cards Fixed
Program getting stuck in an infinite loading loop on startup Fixed
Errors occurring with certain uploaded images Fixed

Next update: multi-person detection

We are still working on bringing multi-person detection to the program. With this feature, when you upload an image containing more than one person, the program will automatically detect each person in the image, allowing you to generate poses for multiple characters.

This feature is almost ready, but it is not yet ready to be released to users. We are improving it every day.

Multi-person detection will not be included in version 2.0, but it will be added to the program as soon as possible in the next update.
