Android 18 is an android manufactured by Dr. Gero, created to serve as the "perfect killing machine." She is originally a human named Lazuli, who was genetically enhanced with Super Saiyan powers and trained to fight against Goku. While her interests don't deviate from this expectation, Android 18's curiosity to activate Android 16 leads her brother 17 to murder the scientist who created them. Eventually, Android 18 becomes a member of the Z Fighters, as well as Krillin's wife and their daughter Marron's mother. She is now one of the top favorite female characters in the Dragon Ball series.
